The Prussia China Commemorative Medal for Fighters 1901 was issued as a commemorative and war medal for the participants in the China expedition that took place in 1900 during the so-called Boxer Rebellion. The rebellion was a nationalist and anti-imperialist uprising in China in which the so-called "Boxers", a Chinese secret society, turned against foreign powers and Christian missionaries.
