Prussia Iron Cross 1st Class 1813
The Iron Cross was established in 1813 by King Frederick William III of Prussia during the Napoleonic Wars. The First Class was worn as a breast decoration and was reserved for high-ranking officers who had distinguished themselves through exceptional bravery or outstanding military achievements. The cross is made of blackened iron with a silver border. On the front, the medallion bears the year 1813, the Prussian crown, and the king's monogram "FW". This early version is one of the rarest and most historically significant types of the Iron Cross.
