The Order of the Golden Fleece, 3rd type is the most modern and current version of the famous Order of the Golden Fleece, which was originally founded in 1430 by Duke Philip the Good of Burgundy and later taken over by the Habsburgs. The 3rd type of the order was continued especially after the end of the monarchy in Austria and the dissolution of the Austro-Hungarian Empire in 1918, but under significantly changed circumstances.
